In these uncertain and divisive times, protecting our local legacy of nature may be one of the most powerful things that we can do.
Wild places like Rio Vista Natural Resource Park connect us to the heartbeat of natural communities—and to each other. They restore us as we restore them. They bring solace as well as inspiration. To make sure that they thrive is both our privilege and our responsibility.
As a science-based nonprofit organization devoted to conservation at Rio Vista, Friends of Rio Vista is committed to keeping the park’s human and wild communities in touch—literally as well as figuratively. We speak up for the peace and safety of visitors, native plants and animals, and ecological processes. We advocate for informed management decisions and wise investment of tax dollars by local government. Shoulder to shoulder with our generous donors, grantors, volunteers, mentors, and partners, we invest energy and funds into conservation programs that are already bearing fruit.
Rio Vista is a microcosm of the world ecosystem. What we accomplish here will be amplified. Feel your power. Take action. Keep the park close to your heart.
