You Spoke Up for Rio Vista — Thank You!

Thank you to the 154 individuals who signed on to the Friends of Rio Vista position statement advocating against the proposal to install a dog park at Rio Vista.

Thank you to the three individuals who wrote in to explain why they would like to see a dog park at Rio Vista. Their comments gave us insights into a complex issue.

Thank you to the RillitoBend Neighborhood Association (RBNA) and its RillitoBend Neighborhood Advocacy Group (RNAG) for working closely with us to get the word out to all of you and to raise our mutual concerns with the city.

Download the Friends of Rio Vista report on your stakeholder responses, which was submitted to Tucson Parks and Recreation on Monday. We also provided the names and verbatim comments of respondents to Tucson Parks in two confidential appendixes.

Friends of Rio Vista and the RNAG / RBNA are following through with Tucson Parks to support their groundbreaking emphasis on protection and restoration of Rio Vista’s ecological values in the park master plan. We’ll keep you posted on developments. Meanwhile, we send our sincere gratitude to each of you for caring so deeply about our natural resource park.
