Many Thanks for a Grant from Vanguard Charitable

Friends of Rio Vista is honored to have received a grant from Vanguard Charitable. The grant is an unrestricted gift from a donor-advised fund that Vanguard Charitable administers. The donor wishes to remain anonymous. We’re truly grateful for this vote of confidence in our work.

This gift allows us to continue our mission to protect and enhance the ecological values of Rio Vista Natural Resource Park. The grant will allow us to expand our efforts, with partners, toward a long-term conservation plan for the park, as well as to continue the Paths to Habitat restoration project. Combined with a previous grant from the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, it will ground a fundraising campaign for the future of Rio Vista’s natural assets.

Our vision for the park is a haven for native plants and wildlife that offers a unique visitor experience of nature in midtown Tucson and that models collaborative conservation in the City of Tucson park system. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Vanguard Charitable and to the anonymous donor who directed this welcome support to us.

The generosity of our donors — both grantors and individual contributors — is an inspiration. We thank all the conservation-minded stakeholders of Rio Vista for their many forms of support for the park.
